There may be a glimmer of hope on getting non-ethanol blended fuel at least in the state of Maine

Call your Senators and demand this in your state ......

transport and storage is the real problem. non would probably have to be trucked or boated up to maine. be stored in separate tanks, both storage and at retail outlets. most retail outlets have only 3 separate tanks. a 4th is needed for diesel. to think of switching back and forth, switching back to ethanol requires cleaning the tanks. most boat facilities have only 1 or 2(diesel) tanks.

As from what i have read ,the gas is blended with the ethanol at the time of delivery to retailers which would make more sense than storing pre-blended fuel in bulk quanities.

Read in the precautions section at the bottom of the page in this link.

http://www.fuel-testers.com/expiration_of_ethanol_gas.html

also this clarifies how easily the blend can become more than 10% ethanol

you're right.

these look like sunoco blender pumps. so if you went in and got some no ethanol fuel, you could take it home and toss in some octane booster. do not know what to use for an octane booster though.
